The spectacle and deception at the DemonRat Convention

In the first nights of the convention we beheld the spectacle of deceptive speeches by such leftists as Michelle Obama, Mark Warner, Bill and Hill and others who made big speeches about how America will be Utopia on earth when they control the congress the senate and the white house and that everything wrong with America is the fault of George W Bush and the republican party. When Clinton ran things things were smooth, then the minute Bush took office everything went to hell.

We at MainestateGop were also nearly sucked into the brouhaha of bashing Bush and praising Democrat values, the talk of standing up for the little guy, how the past eight years favored a privileged few while screwing everyone else and that when they take over everything will be all better again. Thank God for the Internet, real history, the Bible and great forums, blogs and spokespersons like Little Green footballs, JTF, Liberty Post, Free Republic, ETC for keeping us anchored to the real world, grim as the truth is yet still rational and sensible.

The Democrats tried so hard to present their side yet I am reminded of similar elections in America and elsewhere that tried that and in they end they blew up. This is how I see things happening in the US in 2008 if God willing The GOP can connect to the voters and get the message on what's really happening there is still a good opportunity to win over Obama.

Examining some of the the ridiculous speeches at the DNC2008, we see once again that Democrats are attempting to take all the credit for good times while making conservatives and libertarians like ourselves scapegoats for the bad times. Every time a republican is in charge, there is war, poverty, homelessness, higher costs and foreclosures while Democrats give us jobs, homes, and nice things. The younger generations, many of us included are a little oblivious about back in the day (though some of us can be thankful for that.) when Jimmy Carter and a Rat controlled senate and congress screwed everything up.

When Jimmy Carter ran the country, we ended up with double digit unemployment and inflation while we also facing a credit and energy crisis that far dwarfs the one we are facing now. We may have higher prices for gas but at least you don't have to wait an hour in a long line for the pump. We blame Reagan for what happened but forget that he inherited all that from Carter. Yet when he left office eight years later, we had left that behind and more Americans were working and earning more. The only reason we had a recession in 1992 was because Big Bush lied to everyone and raised taxes. Do keep that in mind by the way when examining Obama's economic plan of raising taxes. If it didn't work when Daddy Bush was in office don't expect the same to happen when we have Obama.

Also when thinking about the current slow down, remember that its because Bush's tax cuts are about to go under.

What about the boom we had under Clinton? Well we also had a Republican congress and Senate that cut spending and passed surplus bills. We also had welfare reform which though may not have been perfect and fair did put many Americans back into the work force that otherwise would not be there. Of course just before Clinton left office, he began to put in place several business and environmental regulations that did lead the way and would still be choking the life out of our economy were it not for Bush. The recession we had if you want to call it that began under Clinton and ended after Bush won control. Also look at what has happened to states that have Democrat governors and legislatures. While Bush was giving us a much needed federal tax cut (And NOOOO! It did not favor only the rich!) Demonrats were raising our taxes on the state levels, driving our jobs to red states or worse over to China. Also the blue states passed new regulations against businesses especially small business.

The other thing we must point out is that it is not just what happened in the past three decades but the past century that put us in the straits we are in now. Democrats such as Woodrow Wilson gave us the Federal reserve that has lead to why we have recessions and depressions and then there was Franklin Delenor Roosevelt who gave the the new deal which exacerbated the depression and lead us down the slippery and destructive slope of bigger and more tyrannical government. Those two factors, The Fed and the New Deal gave us recesions, government waste and welfare fraud. Let's not also forget Lyndon Johnson's war on poverty. Most people will not tell you this but when this ridiculous program was being discussed the poverty rate was already in decline. Ever since its been going up and more and more people are on the rolls. Thanks Democrats! Now what's our exit strategy?

Those big corporations that they complain about and that still shill out money to the Dems have a reason for doing so. Their communist policies have destroyed small businesses. To big companies its less competition, less investing of profits into newer and cheaper products and innovations. Democrat support for less restrictions on immigration and the fact that so many laid off Americans are having to compete for jobs has also given way for big companies to reduce wages of workers. Democrats have once again hurt those they claim to help while giving it up to BIG BUSINESS!

One other thing while were on the subject of rich white people, does anyone like to know who is the big force behind the ban on offshore drilling? Rich coastal property owners. Pelosi wants to shill the poor out of what little they have for rich bay area liberals who have more concern about a nice ocean view than poor people and minorites paying big at the pump. Seems to me if the Dems want to wage class warfare, more of us should jump in and point out that rich leftists not right wing nut jobs are to blame. I recall a few years ago, talk show host Bob Morey claimed that we should also call the liberals names like they do such as intolerant bigots for allowing Muslims to pray in school while forbidding the Bible. Of course I believe that should only be done sparingly, but they are intolerant and they are waging class warfare.

As also expected race became an issue. The Democrats were hailed as the champions of civil rights. Just goes to show if you tell a lie long enough, it becomes truth. That is not the case. Bruce Bartlett, writer of the book Wrong on Race shows that the Democrats are the champions of racism and that it was the republicans that broke the chains of slavery, Jim Crow and Segregation. In 2000 we had the opportunity to elect Ambassador Alan Keyes to the presidency, but the Dems were no where to be found. Let's not also forget that illegal immigration constitutes 40% of black unemployment, that compulsive and useless government education and unjust restrictions on business have also taken its toll on people of all races.

Thank to the Democrats and the RINOS we will continue to suffer. Born into poverty? We wont let you pull yourself up out of your bootstraps, we will make you depend on the government. In fact the government will take away your boots and give it to a lazy bum. Lost your job? Get on the welfare train and dont work. Want to work? Too bad. Lost your home? Were more concerned about homes for spotted owls than yours, but in the meantime just head on down to the local shelter full of criminals, thieves and nut jobs and get in line for welfare. Strugling with your business? You need to fill our all these forms and jump through hoops first not to mention pay for taxes and fees which will go to lazy parasites and government workers. Government knows best after all. Are you a hard working American? Are you sick and tired of being screwed? Do you desire to return to the values that the founding fathers wanted? Your on your own.

Before closing I wish to point out that Democrats not the only ones to blame. The Republican party has drifted from its base and from its values. We had them for over twelve years and in that time, we still have abortion, big government, high taxes, broken borders, political correctness and corruption. Electing John McCain probably wont make a difference. Obama should get together with him in the twin cities because they are after all... The same! Our biggest concern should be electing conservative senators who will block the appointment of anti constitution anti freedom justices and confirming justices that stand up for what the constitution says literally not what they think it should say or what other countries say. Also society itself is to blame. Long ago, private charities, churches and synagogues cared for the poor and the sick, now government does it. Long ago, Americans were self sufficient, moral and hard working, now we are dependent on the government for so called cradle to grave security and we are more concerned about personal needs and being affluent than the needs of others. We are no longer our brother's keeper. That is why we elect the politicians we have and why we are slowly losing freedom. In a future article we will examine that silent majority and the need for Americans to awake from their slumber to make the world a free place again.

In conclusion it is because of the Democrats and their RINO allies not the republicans that we are in the crisis we are in now. It is time for conservatives to either take back the party or found a third party to send a message to Washington. It is also time to get out in the streets and on the world wide web to perform activism and education and make sacrifices needed to take back our nation. America can succeed in this endeavour if it tries. We can keep on fighting and it is certain we will win.
